Twins
Yes! I would rather have twins right now! It seems like after I go through one challenge with one child, the same challenge carries over to the next. That's what I get for having kids so close together. Camden has become quite whiney, and he is afraid of everything, including his own shadow. He has also become quite a greedy selfish boy, demanding and "wanting" material things. My challenge is having to deal with his persistance. Now Riley is starting to model Camden; and Mommy...well I am going to explode! I have been doing a lot of reading to keep my parenting skills in check. What have I learned? Nothing new, but I have had my mind joggled a bit. First: STAY CALM (so much easier said than done at times) Second: Show them your love and tenderness (again easier said than done--especially after repeating yourself for the 100th time) Next: Talk with your child often (I find myself telling my kids what to do alot these days, rather than sitting down and having a conversation and inquiring about them and their thoughts and feelings) Also: Be your childs role model...(Of course they are going to be just like me! LOL) Finally: Make sure everyone has time and space to themselves each day; But mirroring this make sure that mommy has plenty of time to listen and interact with each child each day (Camden and Riley tend to have more compassion when they have just had mommy or Daddy to just themself).
Wish me luck, I am off to talk my kids down from jumping on the couch...I think it is board game time!!!

Riley has her own language...
...and apparently a brother and sister I do not know about! She is always talking about her sister and brother (not Camden), and often she asks me if I remember when she and her sister did something. Is this normal?! She often makes up words too and tells me it is Spanish. I think that is cute. The other day she wanted to spray on some of my perfume so she asks, "I have p-u-fume?" All I could do is giggle. Then today I was telling the kids that I wanted to take a picture of them in their "pretty" clothes. Hysterical, Riley says, "Camden's not a girl. Girls wear pretty clothes. Boys wear 'housesum' clothes." Housesum? HUH?! She meant handsome, and boy did she struggle for that one. She told me it was Spanish. LOL. I am telling you she is quite the character; and you never know what story or word will come out her mouth.
