Riley's Hair Cut and Dress Shopping for the "BALL"

Riley is going to a Father-Daughter Ball Saturday and asked me if we could buy a new fancy dress. So I took her to buy a dress and on whim decided to get her hair cut...SHORT! Here is picture of her in her dress when we tried it on at the store, just after her hair cut. She truely feels like a princess in it because it is floor length. The first thing she did was grab it at the mid thigh position and run! "Mom, this is how a princess runs." I suppose she got it from watching all of those princess movies!

Gobble, Gobble!

Happy Thanksgiving! We are heading over to our neighbors for a fried turkey feast!!! I am thankful for my health, my wonderful kids, my family and friends who have been there for me this past year, and for the green grass, and pink roses still blooming in my garden! Have a wonderful day!

Camden and Riley split up for the day and had lunch with a parent! Camden went with Kevin and helped him work on the Watertown apartment building. Here is a picture of the two taking a lunch break on the front porch. Riley and I went to Panera Bread (my favorite place of respite) and then shopping at Target. Here are a couple of cute photos.

Sleepover

Camden had his first experience sleeping over a friends house last Friday night! He did great! He was so excited to go he counted down the days until it was time to pack...and when it was finally time he neatly pulled out his clothes and meticulously folded and piled them on his bed. It was amusing to watch. He and Jayden stayed up until 11:30 playing Wii and DS games and woke around 8:30 the next morning...no problems being away from Mom. He looked so grown up and acted to mature preparing for the night, it was hard to remember he is only five. I did fine while he was gone too...Riley and I had some nice girl time. She asked where Camden was when she woke in the morning, but shortly forgot all about it. Here is a photo of Camden getting ready to go to Jaden's house.

Papa Pavano's 90th Birthday

We went to Connecticut for another birthday Party this month...Here is a photo of the gang! Following is a photo of my dad and his brother David and their baby girls!

NH Trip

Kevin took me to the Navy Ball in NH; and my parents came down to help by watching the kiddos so we could go. It was a blast. We had a beautiful Saturday, and found a great park...and an ICE CREAM TRUCK!!! Afterwards, we went played in the fall leaves, and then it was time to get ready for the Ball. I had a great time!

Happy Birthday Pappi!

We went to Maine for a Birthday Bash at Olive Garden for Pappi!!! What fun!

Halloween

This year our halloween theme was Mario Bothers...and YES!!! I made the Mario and Luigi costumes!!! I sewed the overalls and hats without a pattern...it was such a great accomplishment. Riley is Princess Peach, the princess that Mario and Luigi have to save. I was supposed to be the mushroom, but I could not find a white shower cap to make my cap. Trick or Treating was fun, and the kids got lots of chocolate. Thank you Ms. Terri for being our Halloween photographer for another year!!! This year, it was very windy while we went out trick-or-treating, so I drove the van so that the kids could jump in to warm up. Kevin walked from house to house with them, and it was really cute to hear the comments about the costumes. When we arrived home the kids sat and waited for trick-or-treaters to come to our house. Each kid had their very own bowl of candy to hand out...I just wanted to get rid of it...and they would give out a giant handful of candy too!!! We had a fun family night, it was worth the wait.
